1. Acceptance of Terms
By visiting our website at www.juglansregiaatelier.com, contacting us through any channel, or engaging our services in any capacity, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use this website or engage with our services.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the client) and Shreehome Deco, operating under the brand name JUGLANS. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
2. Services Offered
JUGLANS provides bespoke luxury interior design and installation services using Grade A Kashmiri walnut wood. Our services include:
- Bespoke interior design consultancy and concept development
- Procurement and supply of Kashmiri walnut timber and related materials
- Custom fabrication of furniture, cabinetry, and fit-out components
- Professional installation at the client's premises
- Post-installation support within warranty terms
All work undertaken by JUGLANS is bespoke and made to order. We do not sell standard products off the shelf. Each commission is unique to the client's space and requirements.
3. Quotation and Booking
All quotations issued by JUGLANS are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue. After this period, material costs, labour rates, or project scope may have changed, and a revised quotation may be required.
A project is considered confirmed and booked only upon receipt of the advance payment as described in Clause 4 below. Verbal confirmations, email expressions of intent, or WhatsApp messages do not constitute a booking.
JUGLANS reserves the right to decline any project enquiry at its discretion, without being required to provide a reason.
4. Payment Terms
Payment for all JUGLANS commissions is structured as follows:
- 50% Advance — payable at the time of booking confirmation. Work commences only upon receipt of this payment.
- 30% on Fabrication Completion — payable when the client is notified that fabrication is complete and the material is ready for despatch or installation.
- 20% Before Final Handover — payable before the final installation is handed over and signed off.
Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the applicable rate of 18% is charged on all amounts. SAC Code applicable: 9954 (Construction services — interior fit-out). GST invoices will be issued at each payment milestone.
All payments are to be made by bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/UPI) to the account details provided in the invoice. Cash payments above statutory limits are governed by applicable Indian law.
Late payment beyond 7 days of the due date may result in a pause in fabrication or installation work. JUGLANS shall not be liable for any delays caused by late payment.
5. Project Timelines
Estimated project timelines are provided at the start of each commission and are based on the scope of work, material availability, and site conditions at the time of quotation. These are good-faith estimates and not contractual guarantees.
JUGLANS shall not be liable for delays arising from:
- Delays in client approvals at any stage of the project
- Availability of Grade A Kashmiri walnut timber (a natural material subject to seasonal and sourcing conditions)
- Site conditions that were not disclosed or were not foreseeable at the time of quotation
- Civil works, electrical works, or other trades at the client's premises that are outside our scope
- Force majeure events including natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or any other event beyond reasonable control
In the event of a significant delay caused solely by JUGLANS, we will communicate proactively and work with the client to agree a revised timeline.
6. Design Approvals
Before any fabrication work commences, JUGLANS will prepare and share detailed design drawings, including elevation views, joinery details, and carving motif selections. The client must provide written approval of these drawings before fabrication begins.
Once approved drawings are in fabrication, changes requested by the client may be accommodated at JUGLANS's discretion, but will incur additional charges reflecting the cost of rework, additional materials, or revised labour. JUGLANS will communicate any such charges before proceeding.
JUGLANS cannot guarantee the exact replication of any reference image or photograph provided by the client. All design interpretations are made by our design team in the spirit of the client's brief.
7. Material Policy
All work produced under the JUGLANS brand uses Grade A Kashmiri walnut wood (Juglans Regia) sourced from the Kashmir Valley. This is a non-negotiable position. We do not use plantation walnut, American walnut, or any timber described or marketed as a substitute for Kashmiri walnut.
In the exceptional circumstance that a specific piece of timber is unavailable and an alternative material is proposed, this will be communicated to the client in writing and will proceed only upon the client's explicit written consent. No substitution will be made without such consent.
Natural characteristics of walnut wood — including variation in grain pattern, colour variation between pieces, minor movement due to humidity changes, and natural knots or figure — are features of the material, not defects. These are inherent properties of solid hardwood and are not grounds for rejection or warranty claims.
8. Warranty
JUGLANS provides a one-year warranty on workmanship from the date of final handover and sign-off.
This warranty covers defects in construction, joinery, or finish that arise under conditions of normal use. It does not cover:
- Damage caused by water exposure, flooding, or sustained high humidity beyond normal indoor conditions
- Damage caused by misuse, excessive weight loading, impact, or abrasion
- Changes to the installation site including structural alterations, civil works, or plumbing changes
- Natural movement and expansion of solid wood due to seasonal humidity changes (within acceptable tolerances)
- Surface wear consistent with normal use
- Damage caused by the client's own maintenance products or cleaning agents not recommended by JUGLANS
Warranty claims must be submitted to info@juglansregiaatelier.com with photographs and a description of the issue. JUGLANS will inspect and assess each claim in good faith.
9. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are subject to the following terms:
- Before fabrication commences: If the client cancels after booking but before fabrication has begun, 20% of the advance payment will be retained as a processing and design fee. The remaining 80% of the advance will be refunded within 30 working days.
- After fabrication commences: The 50% advance payment is non-refundable once fabrication of any component has begun. Partially completed work remains the property of JUGLANS and cannot be demanded by the client.
- After fabrication completion: If the client cancels after fabrication is complete but before installation, the full advance (50%) is non-refundable, and the fabrication milestone payment (30%) becomes due and payable.
JUGLANS reserves the right to cancel a project if the client fails to make payment within the agreed timelines. In such cases, amounts already paid will be retained to cover costs incurred.
10. Intellectual Property
All design drawings, concept sketches, 3D renders, mood boards, and design documentation created by JUGLANS in connection with any commission remain the intellectual property of Shreehome Deco until full and final payment has been received.
Upon receipt of full payment, the client is granted a licence to use the completed physical installation. The underlying design rights, however, remain with Shreehome Deco unless a separate written agreement for full IP assignment is executed.
JUGLANS reserves the right to photograph completed installations and use such photographs for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes, including on our website and social media, unless the client explicitly requests otherwise in writing prior to installation.
11. Limitation of Liability
JUGLANS's liability in connection with any commission shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for that specific commission.
JUGLANS shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages including but not limited to loss of use, loss of business, loss of profits, or any other economic loss arising from delays, defects, or any other matter connected with our services, even if JUGLANS has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
This website is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no representations or warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any information on this website.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Indian Contract Act 1872 and applicable consumer protection legislation.
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation and direct communication.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably within 30 days, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
13. Amendments to These Terms
JUGLANS reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be published on this page with the "Last Updated" date. Continued engagement with our services after any such amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
