The Process
We begin with your space — your light, your proportions, your instinct. A dedicated designer visits your home before any sketch is made.
Detailed drawings are prepared — elevation views, carving motif choices, joinery details. You see exactly what you're commissioning before we begin.
Kashmir walnut logs are selected personally — grain, density, age, moisture. Only air-dried timber that meets our standard is approved. Minimum 3 years drying time.
Master craftsmen in Kashmir execute traditional naqqashi and deep-relief carving. Mortise and tenon joints — no nails, no screws in the primary structure.
Three coats of tung oil and beeswax, hand-rubbed with sanding between each. Weeks, not hours. The grain deepens. The colour settles. No lacquer, ever.
Solid brass pulls, hinges, and escutcheons from Moradabad artisans. Each piece fitted by hand and tested for feel before the unit leaves Kashmir.
A small, dedicated team — never more than four craftsmen — installs every piece in your home. Clean, precise, unhurried. Your home is treated accordingly.
You receive a wood provenance document, care guide, and a direct contact for your lead craftsman — for the lifetime of your interior.
The Standard
Juglans Regia — true Kashmir walnut, grown at 5,500 to 7,500 ft. A minimum of 200 years in the ground. Three years air-drying before it is touched. There is no substitute.
Tung oil and pure beeswax — hand-rubbed in three separate coats. The wood breathes. The colour deepens every year. After a decade, a Juglans finish looks better than the day it was installed.
Solid brass and aged bronze only. No chrome. No stainless steel. Sourced from artisan metalworkers in Moradabad and hand-finished to feel exactly as heavy as they should.
Toughened glass panels — 4 to 5 times stronger than standard glass. Where mirrors are specified, antique-back mirror inserts that reflect warm and imperfect, the way old mirrors do.
